Results

The results of the project are determined by the success of our program. In turn, the success of the program is directly influenced by the performance of the decimation algorithm. In this chapter we gather the results of our algorithm's performance.

Our first set of results are in the form of a visual comparison. The performance of our algorithm is directly apparent in the visual analysis of these results. Our second set of data was taken from the Metro[#!metro!#] program discussed in our literature review. These results determine our program's performance numerically. Our last set of results is a time comparison of our algorithm. In that section we will compare the time our algorithm takes when run under different operating systems and hardware options.
